A fine set of six Gillows mahogany Chippendale style dining chairs, comprising two carvers and four side chairs. Each chair features the classic Chippendale-style pierced ladder back with finely carved central splats, shaped crest rails and elegant cabriole legs terminating in carved ball and claw feet. The drop-in seats are upholstered in a neutral patterned fabric, complementing the rich mahogany frames. The chairs bear the impressed Gillows stamp, confirming their manufacture by the renowned firm of Gillows of Lancaster and London. A superb quality dining set combining excellent craftsmanship with timeless design.

Good overall condition, solid and sturdy throughout. There is age-related wear including light surface marks, minor scratches and knocks consistent with use. The upholstery is clean and serviceable with only minor signs of wear. The frames are strong, the carving remains crisp, and the chairs present beautifully with a rich, warm patina throughout.
Our carpenter inspects, repairs, and restores our items, so you can have full confidence that what you buy from us is ready for your home! We ask that you take the time to look at all the photos as they form part of the description and condition report of the item.

Delivery Information

  • You will receive advance notice of a day and time for delivery within approximately 10 working days, and delivery can take up to 15 working days from order date.

    We use a single-person delivery service. Please ensure that you are available and able to assist with unloading upon delivery of your item/s.
