A traditional oak Welsh dresser dating in the 18th century style, featuring a moulded cornice above a shaped scalloped frieze and three open plate shelves, flanked by a pair of cupboards with useful drawers beneath. The projecting base is fitted with three generous drawers, each retaining decorative brass swan-neck handles, above a shaped apron with carved central detail and raised on elegant cabriole front legs. Richly figured oak throughout with a warm, mellow colour and attractive grain, this is an impressive and practical piece offering excellent storage and display space. The dresser separates into two sections for ease of transport.

Good overall condition, solid and sturdy throughout. The piece likely dates from the late 20th century. There is minor age-related wear including surface marks, minor scratches and knocks consistent with everyday use. Some marks and damage to surface of the top of the piece, including an area of wear to the original finish – however, this doesn’t detract from the overall appeal of the piece. The oak has a rich, warm patina, and the dresser displays well with plenty of character. The upper section lifts away from the base for easier transportation.
