A handsome antique Jacobean style oak dresser base, with a substantial plank top above two deep drawers. The drawer fronts are particularly attractive, each decorated with bold geometric moulded panels in the Jacobean manner and fitted with brass circular drop handles and decorative escutcheons. Panelled ends complete the upper section, raised on turned front supports joined by stretchers. The oak has developed a lovely deep, rich colour and aged patina, with good proportions and plenty of character.

Good antique condition with general age-related wear, marks and scratches throughout. The top has various old ring marks, staining and surface wear, together with an age-related split between the planks. Further minor knocks and wear to the edges and frame. These are consistent with age and use and do not detract from the overall appearance. Drawers run well, overall a lovely piece.
