Victorian Antique Pine Trunk

A rustic Victorian antique pine trunk or blanket box, of small proportions. The antique trunk has a hinged lid that opens to reveal a neat interior. There are exposed dovetail joints to the corners, and black metal carry handles to either side for easy lifting and transport (not original). The Victorian pine trunk is raised on a plinth base. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, stains, splits and shrinkage to the top (pictured), further scratches, marks and splits to the front, sides and back. There is also minor evidence of historic woodworm to the top and base (pictured), however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique pine trunk remains structurally solid and sound. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax. Overall, a rustic example.
