Small 18th Century Antique Oak Gateleg Table

A neat early 18th century antique oak gateleg table, of small proportions. The antique oak table has a rectangular shaped top with two drop leaves to either side, which when extended create a larger oval shaped surface top. The drop leaves are supported by two gate legs. The base consists of six bobbin turned legs with straight stretcher supports. A charming example with lovely patina throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, fading and shrinkage to the top (pictured), further marks and fading to the base. There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. There are losses to the feet due to the historic woodworm (pictured), however this doesn’t affect the overall integrity of the product. There are also age-related splits to legs (pictured). The antique oak gateleg table remains structurally solid and sound, with the gatelegs working well. Overall, a good example.
