A brilliant set of four early 20th century antique beech and elm captain’s armchairs or smoker’s bow armchairs. The antique captain’s armchairs have a curved spindle back with shaped arms and a solid elm seat. The antique armchairs are raised on spindle shaped legs, with double ‘H’ stretcher supports. A rather pleasing set, with a rich colour and grain throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the seats and legs (pictured), further scratches and fading to the backrests and arms (pictured). The antique captains armchairs remain structurally solid and sound, with good tight joints. Overall, a great set of antique armchairs.
