Pair of 1969 Prince Charles Investiture Armchairs

Pair of iconic 1969 Prince Charles investiture armchairs. The vintage armchairs were designed by 1st Earl of Snowdon and manufactured by Remploy, where a total of 4,600 copies were made in Bridgend, South Wales. The armchairs have a red stained beech frame, with the symbolic Prince of Wales’ feathers and motto ‘Ich Dien’ to the backrest, and a Welsh red tweed cushioned seat. The vintage armchairs were produced for the 1969 Investiture of HRH Prince Charles of Wales, at Caernarfon Castle, North Wales.

In excellent vintage condition throughout. There is minor surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the frame (pictured). The vintage armchairs remain structurally solid and sound, with the tweed cushioned seats in excellent condition. Overall, a fabulous pair of the iconic 1969 Prince Charles investiture armchairs.
