Large Antique Oak Gate Leg Dining Table

A large and impressive late 18th century antique oak gate leg dining table. The antique oak dining table has a rectangular shaped top with a drop leaf to either side. The drop leaves are supported by two hinged gate legs and form a large oval shaped table top when extended. The antique oak dining table is raised on six square and turned legs with straight stretcher supports. A particularly pleasing example with good colour and patina throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and stains to the surface top (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm to the base and underside, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique oak dining table remains structurally solid and sound, with good hinges.

Overall, a rather good example of an antique oak gate leg table.
