A lovely example of a walnut elbow chair.  The elbow chair has a pierced carved splat-back, with upstanding arm supports, with curving arm rests. The drop-in seat has been reupholstered, covered in a high quality fabric, with a traditional horsehair filled seat. The elbow chair is standing on square chamfered legs, united by stretchers

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and fading to the arms and back. The have been historical black smith repair to the underside of the seat (pictured). Overall, the mahogany elbow chair is structurally sound and solid. A charming example of its kind.
