Edwardian Antique Kneehole Desk with Leather Top

A well proportioned Edwardian antique kneehole desk with leather top. The antique kneehole desk has a serpentine fronted top with a red leather inset writing surface. The Edwardian kneehole desk has an arrangement of nine graduating drawers around the central kneehole, each with decorative brass backplates and drop handles. The antique desk is raised on a plinth base. A particularly pleasing example, with a rich colour and grain throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and shrinkage splits to the sides and top (pictured), further marks and scratches to the front. There are chips to the veneer in places (pictured), however this doesn’t affect the overall integrity of the product. The antique kneehole desk remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Overall, a good example of its kind.
