Early 20th Century Antique Armchair

A charming early 20th century beech and ash antique armchair. The antique armchair has a shaped top with a spindle backrest, scroll open arms and a solid shaped seat. The antique armchair is raised on four shaped legs, with a ‘H’ stretcher support. A rather pleasing example, with plenty of character and charm.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and fading to the seat and arms (pictured), further scratches to the backrest and fading to the legs (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm underneath, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique armchair remains structurally solid and sound, with good tight joints. Overall, a neat example of an antique armchair.
