Early 19th Century Antique Welsh Oak Dresser

£0.00

A charming early 19th century antique Welsh oak dresser. The antique Welsh dresser has an open rack top consisting of three fitted shelves and a moulded cornice. The dresser base has an arrangement of three fitted drawers, each with polished wooden knobs, with a decorative shaped apron beneath. The dresser is raised on square and turned upright supports with a pot board base. The oak Welsh dresser retains a wonderful colour throughout with a good patina. A particularly pleasing example. Separates into two parts at the mid section for ease of transport and movement.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and staining to the surface top (pictured). There is a shake/warp to one part of the front edge (pictured), which helps add to the country charm of the piece. The antique Welsh oak dresser remains structurally intact with the drawers running well. Evidence of old historic woodworm – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.
