Antique Writing Desk with Leather Armchair

A good quality and well-proportioned 19th century antique two drawer writing desk with a great vintage gentlemans tub style chair. The antique mahogany writing desk has a rectangular shaped top with a black leather inset above two long drawers, each with two polished wooden knobs. Raised on four turned legs with brass castors. The William IV writing desk comes paired with a vintage gentleman’s tub style chair. The chair has a black leather upholstered seat and backrest, with studded edging. The stylish gentleman’s tub style chair is raised on four square shaped tapering legs, with shaped and straight stretcher supports. Overall, a great set for anyone’s home office or study.

There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and stains to the surface top (pictured), further marks to the base. There are minor losses to the legs (pictured). The antique writing desk remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Complete with working lock and key.

Chair: In good vintage condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the leather seat and backrest (pictured). The wooden frame has further scratches, marks and stains at the seat and legs, also fading to the arms (pictured). The vintage gentleman’s tub style chair remains structurally solid and sound, with good tight joints.
