Antique Windsor Rocking Chair

A lovely late 19th century beech and elm antique Windsor rocking chair. The antique rocking chair has a shaped spindle back, with shaped open arms raised on turned upright supports. The antique rocking chair has a solid elm seat, raised on four turned legs with two skid rockers and a ‘H’ stretcher support. A rather pleasing example of an antique rocking chair, finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the seat and skid rockers (pictured), also fading to the seat, backrest and arms (pictured). The antique rocking chair remains structurally solid and sound, with good tight joints. Overall, a lovely example of a windsor rocking chair.
