A charming antique 19th century Windsor armchair. This attractive example features a classic stick back with a hooped arm rail and a decorative pierced central splat. The well-figured solid elm seat is raised on four turned legs united by a traditional crinoline stretcher, giving both strength and classic Windsor proportions. The chair displays lovely colour and patina developed over years of use, particularly to the seat which shows attractive figuring. A good honest example of a traditional country Windsor with great character.

In good antique condition consistent with age and use. There is general surface wear including marks, scratches and areas of rubbing to the arms and seat as expected. There is a historic crack to the seat (pictured) which has been filled and is stable and does not affect the structural integrity of the chair. Overall, a lovely example.

Delivery Information

  • You will receive advance notice of a day and time for delivery within approximately 10 working days, and delivery can take up to 15 working days from order date.
  • Our delivery service is based on delivery to the property entrance. If you have additional requirements, please contact us.
    We use a single-person delivery service. Please ensure that you are available and able to assist with unloading upon delivery of your item/s.
