Antique Welsh Oak Potboard Dresser

£0.00

A fine example of a Welsh oak dresser dating from the 19th century. The base has three drawers with wooden knobs, sitting atop an open potboard base. The original plate rack has two open shelves, with five dummy drawers below, four of which have replacement brass knobs. The dresser stands on block feet and is a well-crafted piece with a gracefully shaped apron above the potboard base.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related scratches and stains to the top, sides and potboard base. There is loss to one of the wooden knobs (pictured) and splitting to the right-hand side (pictured). However, this does not affect the overall integrity of the potboard dresser. The potboard dresser is structurally sound and solid. A fine example.
