Antique Welsh Oak Dresser

An attractive and well presented early 19th century antique Welsh oak dresser, from North Wales. The antique dresser has a boarded rack back top with three fitted shelves, with its original blacksmith iron hanging hooks to the top. To the base are three drawers, above two blind panel cupboard doors, each with brass handles. Both cupboard doors open to reveal a spacious, full width interior (the three drawers to the centre are dummy drawers and don’t open). The antique Welsh oak dresser has a rich colour and beautiful grain throughout. Separates into two parts at the mid section for ease of transport and movement.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and splits to the surface top and shelves (pictured), further scratches to the front and sides. There are also shrinkage splits to the sides (pictured), however this doesn’t affect the overall integrity of the product. There is evidence of historic woodworm to the back (pictured), however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique Welsh oak dresser remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Overall, a great example of its kind.
