A handsome Victorian writing desk in warm-toned mahogany, standing on turned legs with brass castors. The desk features a central fall-front writing compartment opening to reveal useful interior storage, flanked by banks of small drawers to either side. The writing surface retains its original tooled leather. A practical and characterful piece, well suited to use as a traditional writing desk or statement home office piece.

In good antique condition, the desk shows a visible crack to the top. There are some paint marks and areas of staining present. Small splits to the timber can be found in places. The leather writing surface shows wear. Overall, there is general wear and scuffing throughout, consistent with age and use.
