A 19th century antique satin birch bureau desk. The antique bureau has a fall front above an arrangement of two short over three long graduating drawers, each with a wonderful inlaid border and decorative brass backplates and drop handles. The fall front opens to reveal a fitted interior, consisting of seven pigeon holes, four drawers and a central cupboard. The fall front is supported by two pull out arms just below. The antique bureau is raised on bracket feet. Beautiful rich colour throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. There is surface wear in places including some age-related marks to the top and front (pictured). There are small losses and repairs in places, however these do not affect the overall integrity of the piece. There are also losses to the drawer surrounds.  There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique satin birch bureau remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a neat example.
