Antique Regency Mahogany Bow Front Chest of Drawers

A beautifully proportioned antique mahogany chest of drawers, featuring a bow front and fine decorative detailing. The chest comprises two short drawers above three long, graduating drawers, each with cockbeaded edges and fine brass stringing. Fluted columns frame the sides, leading the eye down to well-turned legs. The craftsmanship is further elevated by delicate brass inlay to the top and drawer fronts.

In good antique condition overall, with honest wear consistent with age and use. There are some surface marks and scratches throughout, as expected. The original turned wooden knobs are mostly present, with one period-appropriate near matched replacement. The brass stringing is largely intact, some loss (pictured). The top surface shows some unevenness with a small area of raised veneer, a fine split to the grain, and slight surface loss to the front edge. Overall a quality piece.
