Antique Pine Washstand with Marble Top

A neatly proportioned Victorian antique pine washstand. The antique pine washstand has a rectangular shaped marble top, with a single fitted drawer to the front. To the base is an under tier shelf, raised on four turned legs with castors. The marble top sits on top and can be lifted off for transport and movement.

In worn antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related scratches and marks to the marble top (pictured). The handles have been replaced with a single central handle – there are marks where the old handles used to be. The back right castor is stiff and doesn’t run well. The antique pine washstand remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawer running well. Overall, a particularly good example of a Victorian washstand. The marble top is later and is removable for ease of transport.
