Antique Oak Pot board Dresser Base

A wonderful 19th century antique oak pot board dresser base. The antique dresser base has a rectangular shaped top, with an arrangement of two fitted drawers below, each with decorative brass backplates and drop handles. The oak dresser base has an under-tier shelf or pot board, raised on square chamfered legs. A rather charming example, perfectly used as a sideboard.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the top, sides, front and pot board shelf (pictured), further fading to the front and top (pictured). There are also age-related shrinkage splits to the sides, top and under-tier shelf (pictured), however this doesn’t affect the overall integrity of the product. The antique oak pot board dresser base remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Overall, a good example of its kind.
