Antique Oak Gateleg Table

£0.00

A neatly proportioned early 18th century antique oak gateleg table. The antique gateleg table has a rectangular shaped top when closed, with a drop leaf to either side. The drop leaves are supported by two gatelegs and form a larger oval shaped table top when extended. The oak gateleg table is raised on six shaped legs with straight stretcher supports. Wonderful patina throughout.

In rustic antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, shrinkage, splits, stains and fading to the top (pictured), further marks, scratches and minor losses to the legs (pictured). There is extreme evidence of historic woodworm to the base and underneath, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique oak gateleg table still remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a rather pleasing example, full of rustic charm.
