An attractive Edwardian Arts & Crafts bureau bookcase. The upper section features twin glazed doors with geometric leaded glass panes, opening to reveal two fixed interior shelves. Beneath is a fall-front leather writing surface supported by shaped gallery sides, opening to a fitted interior with pigeonholes and dividers for stationery and documents.The lower section comprises a bank of drawers — two small drawers over three full-width drawers — all fitted with period copper handles. The piece stands on a plinth base and includes a working lock and key for the upper cabinet. A well-proportioned and practical piece in solid oak, displaying a warm colour and patina throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches throughout the piece. No apparent cracks or chips to the glazed doors. The bureau bookcase remains structurally sound and functional with no major losses. A good example overall.
