Antique Mahogany Dickens Style Twin Pedestal Desk

The antique Victorian mahogany pedestal desk features a rectangular top, inset with an brown leather writing surface, detailed with gold gilding. The central section of the desk is raised with a sloped surface, which opens to reveal six pigeonholes and two small drawers for added storage. Below the top, an arrangement of eight drawers with a central dummy drawers above the kneehole, each drawer fitted with two wooden knobs. The desk is raised on a sturdy plinth base with castors for ease of movement. Separating into three sections for ease of transport.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and use. There is surface wear in places, including age-related marks and scratches across the piece. The leather writing surface shows marks and stains. There are cracks to either side of the slope, along with general surface wear consistent with age. All drawers run smoothly, and the piece is in good, solid condition — an attractive example with character and patina commensurate with its age.
