An attractive antique walnut pedestal desk featuring a rectangular marble top. Below sits a single drawer bearing a maker’s mark: “Maple & Co.” The desk is supported by twin pedestals flanking a central kneehole, each pedestal housing a cupboard with a shelved interior and fine mahogany inlay. Brass drop handles add a refined touch, and the piece stands on tapering square legs finished with castors for ease of movement. A well-crafted and elegant example.

In good antique condition overall, with some signs of age and use. There is surface wear throughout, including age-related marks and scratches. The marble top shows some surface loss and a small area of damage to one corner. The castors are somewhat stiff due to the weight of the marble, though the top can be removed for easier transport. Despite these imperfections, the piece remains sturdy and full of character.
