Antique Georgian Oak Coffer Blanket Chest

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is natural shrinkage to the planks on the top, front, and sides, along with surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, dents, and stains to the lid and sides (pictured). The front also shows light marks and stains (pictured). The escutcheon and hinges are later replacements. A historic repair is visible to the right-hand side of the lid, and a later interior brace has been fitted beneath the lid to provide additional support, though it is not structural. There is also evidence of historical woodworm, now long gone and fully treated as a precaution. The coffer remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a good example of its kind.

Delivery Information

• You will receive advance notice of a day and time for delivery within approximately 10 working days, and delivery can take up to 15 working days from order date.
• Our delivery service is based on delivery to the property entrance. If you have additional requirements, please contact us.
  We use a single-person delivery service. Please ensure that you are available and able to assist with unloading upon delivery of your item/s.
