Antique Elm and Beech Windsor Armchair

A lovely antique elm and beech Windsor armchair. The windsor armchair has a slightly reclined, high double-back, with comb spindles and a central carved splat. This is all held securely in place with a one piece hoop forming the arms, together with decorative front turned supports to each side. The windsor armchair has a  solid saddle shaped elm seat. ,Raised on four flared and turned legs with a ‘H’ stretcher support.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and fading to the seat and arms. There are also further scratches to the legs. Overall. The windsor armchair is structurally solid and sound. A wonderful example of an antique elm and beech windsor armchair.
