A charming antique 19th-century oak chest of drawers. The chest features a moulded cornice top above an arrangement of two short over three long graduating  drawers, each fitted with elegant brass drop handles. The piece is beautifully raised on a plinth base, adding to its refined aesthetic. A timeless and practical example of 19th-century craftsmanship.

In good antique condition overall, with signs of age and use. Surface wear is present, including age-related marks and scratches. There is some shrinkage to the sides and top — this is a common feature in antique furniture, caused by the natural movement of the solid wood planks over time as they expand and contract. It has resulted in small gaps, particularly where boards meet, but this is purely cosmetic and does not affect the structural integrity of the piece. There is also some staining to the front consistent with age. Overall, a good looking piece with drawers all running well.
