Antique Early 19th Century Oak Dresser

A large early 19th century oak dresser. The top has a moulded cornice with a shaped apron above a boarded rack back fitted with three shelves, each with a row of small iron hooks. Below, the base is composed of three drawers, each with brass drop handles and brass escutcheons. The dresser stands on straight legs, united by an under-tier pot board shelf which also provides structural support.

In good antique condition throughout, with wear consistent with age and use. There are age-related marks and scratches, along with staining to the top surface, shelves, and inside the drawers. The backboard shows some splitting, and the dresser will need to be secured to a wall for stability.
