Antique Ash and Elm Comb Back Armchair

A lovely antique ash and elm comb back armchair. The armchair has a slightly reclined, high double-back, with comb spindles. This is all held securely in place with a one piece hoop forming the arms, together with curved  supports to each side. The windsor armchair has a  solid saddle shaped elm seat. Raised on four flared and turned legs with a ‘H’ stretcher support. Paired nicely with M-5588

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the chair. There is some fading and splitting to the arms (pictured) as well as to the back rail (pictrued), however, the antique ash and elm comb back armchair remains structurally sound. A great example.
