An attractive antique ash and elm captain’s chair. The antique captain’s chair has a curved spindle back with shaped open arms and a solid elm seat. The antique captain’s chair is raised on thick turned legs, with a turned double ‘H’ stretcher support. Rich colour and grain throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks to the arms, seat and back.  There is evidence of historic woodworm to the back of the captain’s chair (pictured), however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique ash and elm captain’s chair remains structurally solid and sound. A wonderful example of its kind.
