Antique 19th Century Walnut Wardrobe

A handsome 19th century antique walnut wardrobe. The wardrobe features a single full-length door opening to a spacious interior, with hanging rail, pegs and top shelf. The door is beautifully figured with striking walnut grain, framed by moulded panels and topped with an elegant shaped cornice.

To the base is a long drawer, fitted with brass oval handles, offering useful additional storage. Raised on shaped bracket feet. A particularly attractive example, boasting rich colour and excellent figuring throughout. Currently as one piece, but can be separated into sections for ease of transport and installation.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the exterior. The interior shows expected wear from use. There are minor historic repairs and general cosmetic ageing consistent with a piece of this period, as well as some minor loss to the veneer to the bottom right hand side. The wardrobe remains structurally solid and sound, with the door closing well and the drawer running smoothly. Overall, a very decorative and practical example.
