A good antique mahogany chest of drawers dating to the early to mid 19th century, of classic form and well balanced proportions. Constructed in mahogany and retaining a pleasing warm colour, this is a practical and attractive period piece. The configuration consists of two short drawers over three long graduating drawers, all fitted with turned wooden knobs. The chest stands on turned bun feet and offers good usable storage. A solid and functional antique chest suitable for bedroom or general household use.

In good antique condition consistent with age and use. General surface wear including marks, scratches and minor imperfections as expected. There is a historic repair to the back right corner, as well as small repair above the top right drawer. Minor repairs to the cockbeaded edges of the drawers, which have been well executed. All solid and structurally sound, with the drawers running well. A lovely example.

Overall a good honest mahogany chest with good colour and patina.
