Antique 19th Century Mahogany Bow Front Chest of Drawers

A 19th-century mahogany bow front chest of drawers, with an elegant, gently curved profile and well-balanced proportions. The arrangement comprises two short drawers over two long drawers, all with their original brass ring handles and neatly cockbeaded edges. The mahogany has a deep, rich tone and attractive grain, with a mellow, timeworn surface that speaks to its age. Raised on splayed bracket feet.

In good antique condition overall, showing natural signs of age. There is surface wear throughout, including age-related marks and scratches. The top displays some splitting, and there is a hole to the back. The legs also show some wear. However, the piece is structurally sound and solid, with all drawers running smoothly. A lovely, functional example ready for use.
