Antique 19th Century Antique Walnut Pier Cabinet

A 19th century antique walnut pier cabinet with fine marquetry inlay and gilt-bronze mounts. The cabinet features a single glazed door opening to reveal two fixed shelves. The front is decorated with intricate fruitwood marquetry in neoclassical motifs, while cast gilt mounts adorn the upper and lower corners. The top edge is ebonised, providing a pleasing contrast to the warm walnut tones. Standing on a shaped plinth base, this is a particularly attractive and well-balanced example.

In good antique condition, with some signs of age. The piece shows surface wear, including age-related marks and scratches throughout. There is some fading to the front and sides, as well as to the velvet interior. Working lock and key present. Overall, a fine example of its kind.
