Antique 17th Century Oak Coffer

A well presented 17th century antique oak coffer, of small proportions. The antique oak coffer has a hinged lid that opens to reveal a spacious interior, with a preserved newspaper clipping to the inside of the lid dating “Monday the 29th of January. 1798”. The antique oak coffer has a three panel front with decorative carved detail. Raised on four stile feet. A rather pleasing example, with good patina and rich colour throughout.
