An early 17th century antique carved oak coffer. The oak coffer has a sunken two panel lid, with original hinges, that opens to reveal a spacious interior. The coffer has a panelled front with each panel having decorative carved detail. Raised on stile feet.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches throughout the oak coffer. There is evidence of historic woodworm to the top of the piece (pictured), however, this is now long gone and has been treated as a precaution. There is some loss to the back (pictured), however, this does not affect the overall integrity of the antique 17th century oak coffer. A great example of its kind.
