A well presented 19th century Anglo Chinese antique padauk bureau. The antique bureau has a fall front that opens to reveal a dark blue leather writing surface with a fitted interior, consisting of five central pigeon holes, surrounded by nine small drawers. Below the fall front is an arrangement of three long drawers, each with decorative brass backplates and drop handles. The fall front is supported by two pull out arms. The padouk bureau is raised on bracket feet. Complete with working lock and key.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the top, front and sides (pictured), further marks, scratches and stains to the interior (pictured). The leather writing surface has age-related losses and scratches (pictured), however this doesn’t affect the overall integrity of the product. The antique padouk bureau remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Complete with working lock and key for the drawers. Overall, a good example of its kind.

Our carpenter inspects, repairs, and restores our items, so you can have full confidence that what you buy from us is ready for your home!

    We use a single-person delivery service. Please ensure that you are available and able to assist with unloading upon delivery of your item/s.
