A handsome Victorian mahogany bow front chest of drawers with beautifully figured mahogany throughout, displaying rich colour and striking grain. The chest stands on turned feet and is fitted with two short over three long drawers, retaining its turned wooden knobs with attractive inlaid centres. The drawers run smoothly and the chest presents well, making it a practical as well as decorative piece. A particularly nice example.

Good overall antique condition, with wear commensurate with age and use. The drawers run smoothly. There are some minor age-related splits to the top and sides, along with light surface scratches, small knocks, scuffs and areas of edge wear as shown in the photographs. The chest remains structurally sound and presents well, with all drawers running the smoothly. A particularly nice example, with a rich colour and attractive patina.
