A smart antique Edwardian small oak writing desk of compact proportions, making it ideal for a study, home office, or occasional writing table. The desk features a green gilt-tooled leather writing surface, enclosed by an attractive pierced brass gallery. The drawer arrangement comprises a long frieze drawer beside a pedestal fitted with four graduating drawers, all retaining decorative brass drop handles and escutcheons.
The desk is raised on elegant turned and fluted legs with brass and ceramic castors to the front, united by shaped stretchers. Constructed in well-figured oak throughout, the desk displays a rich warm colour and attractive grain, combining practicality with classic Edwardian styling.

In good antique condition throughout with signs of age and use. There is surface wear present including age-related marks, scratches and minor knocks to the oak frame, consistent with its age. The leather writing surface displays some wear commensurate with use, as photographed. There is also light wear to the brass gallery and brass handles. The desk remains structurally solid and sound, with all drawers running smoothly and opening as intended. The castors are present and the desk moves easily when required. A well-proportioned and practical antique desk, ready for everyday use.
