Antique 19th Century Oak Chest of Drawers

A handsome antique oak chest of drawers, featuring satinwood crossbanding throughout and finely inlaid detail to the top. The chest is fitted with an arrangement of graduating drawers, each retaining decorative swan neck brass handles and shaped escutcheons. The drawer fronts are framed with satinwood crossbanding and the corners are finished with moulded quarter columns, giving the piece a refined architectural quality. The top features decorative fan inlay to the corners, adding further neoclassical detail and contrast against the warm oak ground. Raised on bracket feet, the chest presents with a well balanced and elegant appearance.

In good antique condition with signs of age and use throughout. Surface wear, marks, scratches, and minor age-related imperfections present. There is wear particularly to the bracket feet, along with historic watermarks and ring marks to the top. Age-related shrinkage to the top and side planks as pictured, though this does not affect the practicality or overall appeal of the piece. The drawers run well and the chest remains solid and structurally sound overall.
