Antique 19th Century Oak Farmhouse Table

A good 19th century rectangular oak farmhouse table of generous proportions. The table is constructed from solid oak throughout, with a well-figured plank top showing attractive grain and a rich, warm colour. The table is raised on four square tapering legs, joined by a simple frieze, and features traditional pegged construction visible at the joints. To one side, the table is fitted with a single frieze drawer, complete with a small turned wooden knob handle. To the end of the table is the pull-out breadboard-style extension slide, offering additional surface space when required. A sturdy and well-made example, full of character, ideal as a kitchen or dining table.
