A well presented Victorian antique walnut sofa or chaise longue. The piece features an elegant design with a shaped back and scrolling arms, raised on beautifully carved cabriole legs. The walnut frame displays good colour and grain throughout, complemented by detailed carving to the arms and supports. The seat and back are upholstered in a blue patterned fabric with deep buttoning, giving a comfortable and classic look. A particularly decorative and versatile piece, ideal as a statement sofa or occasional chaise in a bedroom or sitting room.

In good antique condition overall, with some signs of age. There is surface wear to the frame, including age-related marks and light scratches. The upholstery is in usable condition with general wear consistent with age, including some staining but no tears, and may benefit from reupholstery depending on preference. The frame remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a charming and decorative example. There is evidence of historic woodworm to the frame, particularly noticeable to the underside of the front, with some associated loss. There is also a historic repair to the back left foot.
