Antique Georgian Oak Lowboy Side Table

A good late Georgian oak lowboy of classic simple country form. Well constructed in solid oak and retaining good colour and patina throughout, this is an honest period piece of practical proportions. The lowboy is fitted with a single long drawer, with later brass swan neck handles which in keeping with the character of the piece. There is evidence of an earlier central knob to the drawer front. Raised on four slender turned legs terminating in pad feet, the piece has pleasing proportions and understated Georgian styling. A versatile antique suitable for use as a side table, lamp table or occasional table.
