The desk is of serpentine form, with a shaped kneehole and standing on slender tapered legs, giving it a light and refined appearance. All drawers run smoothly and retain their original period handles. The top is fitted with a leather writing surface, framed by crossbanded and inlaid detailing. Overall an attractive piece, well suited for use as a writing desk, dressing table or occasional table.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches throughout the piece. There is noticeable loss and wear to the veneer, particularly along the edges along with marks and minor staining to the leather top commensurate with age. Overall structurally sound and a lovely example.
