Antique Georgian Walnut Chest of Drawers

A particularly attractive George II period walnut chest of drawers. The drawer fronts and sides are book matched in beautifully figured walnut. The arrangement comprises two short over three long drawers, each with later but sympathetic brass swan neck handles and escutcheons that are in keeping with the piece. The chest stands on shaped bracket feet and has a rich colour with a pleasing patina throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches throughout the piece. There is evidence of age-related shrinkage to the sides which has been historically repaired. The piece is solid and sound with all drawers running smoothly. Overall, an exceptional piece.
