A well-proportioned mid 19th century mahogany bergère library chair. The shaped scroll back has a curved moulded top rail with roundel details to either side. Swept arms rest on turned supports, with neat cane work to the seat and back panels. The chair stands on turned front legs and outswept rear legs, all terminating in original brass castors.

In good antique condition overall, with signs of age and use. There is surface wear throughout, including age-related marks and scratches.
