18th Century Antique Oak Side Chair

A charming 18th century antique oak side chair. The antique side chair has a curved top with a central shaped splat, and a solid oak seat. The antique side chair is raised on four square legs, with straight stretcher supports. A rather pleasing example, with plenty of character and charm. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, stains and fading to the backrest and seat, also a split to the seat (pictured). There are further marks to the base, also evidence of historic woodworm to the bottom of the legs, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique side chair remains structurally solid and sound, with good tight joints. Overall, a great example of an 18th century antique oak chair.
