19th Century Elm Rocking Chair

A small 19th Century elm rocking chair with a rush seat. The slat back has decorative, criss-cross shaped features to the centre. The rush seat rests atop straight legs with straight supports and a H stretcher support. Raised on rocker rail feet.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear to the back (pictured). The rocker rails seem to be a modification made at a later date. A structurally solid and sound rocker of a delicate design, therefore we do not recommend it for everyday use.
